Dr. Santacruz's co-first author paper, "WAND: A 128-channel, closed-loop, wireless artifact-free neuromodulation device", was accepted for publication in Nature Biomedical Engineering. First authorship is shared with collaborators Andy Zhou and Benjamin Johnson. This article presents the Wireless Artifact-free Neuromodulation Device (WAND), a wireless platform for high-throughput neural recording (up to 128 channels) and multi-site electrical stimulation (up to 8 channels simultaneously). The device capabilities were demonstrated in the nonhuman primate model, including experiments of wirelessly streaming neural data during natural behavior and closed-loop stimulation to modulate motor behavior.
